When being a Who fan results in personal injury…

Being a Doctor Who fan isn’t all fun and games… especially when it involves a scarf that’s typically over 12 feet long… consider this a Doctor Who PSA of sorts…

I’m sure many of us have made the iconic Doctor Who Scarf for ourselves or loved ones.

I’m not ashamed to admit the length took some getting used to. Getting stuck in subway or car doors, or really any door for that matter, is somewhat of a Who-head rite of passage…

Stories from fellow fans like this one from TheCraftyCat (craftster.org) remind us of the dangers of being such a devoted fanatic:

He was driving down the interstate at 65mph, and failed to notice when he got in the car that part of the scarf was outside the door. The scarf got caught in the rear tire, nearly strangling him. He was able to pull over safely, and no one was hurt … But, yeah, word of warning - be careful if you wear that scarf in a car.

… also, be very careful with revolving doors… it creates quite a scene and I assure you, your friends will enjoy hours of comedy at your expense…

Transformers versus Daleks… Who would win?

Being a dome-head means just about anything reminds me of Doctor Who.

Transformers far exceeded my expectations. The cg was breathtaking! Of course, I’m sitting there wondering who’d win in a battle, Daleks or Transformers.

At first I thought this was a tough one. Then I remembered, Daleks always win.

Dalek Sec vs Optimus Prime

Does the Doctor ever lock his keys in the tardis?

So it’s Doctor Who Saturday, and I’ve managed to lock myself out of the OG Forums while trying to change my email address.

I wish I had some insight into why OG Forums are so incredibly locked down… New registrations require mod review before even being able to view threads… sigh…

I’m going to go and mope now…

Empire State Building… A changed perspective…

After watching “Daleks in Manhattan”, seeing the Empire State Building now reminds me of Daleks… I’m not complaining, mind you… but I did feel like quite the tourist staring up at it (or a nutter, as I found myself humming the Dalek theme).
